Geraldo Lima

Second album from this artist that was born in Pernambuco - Northeast of Brazil - released by Piraquara Records.
Presenting a wide variety of rithms that he heard through all his childhood, Geraldo Lima brings baião, reggae, "embolada beat", drum 'n bass and maracatu, among others.
His songs are about urban paranoids, pain and carnival, religion, gramatical patchworks and concrete poetry.
From the musical encounter of Geraldo Lima and the producer Marcelo Freire, what we have here is a cohesive and well calibrated mix of flavours. Something that Geraldo Lima himself calls EBM (Eclectic Brazilian Music) as a counterpoint to PBM (Popular Brazilian Music), where what matters is the extensive use of all expressive resources available, resulting in an unique and amazing universe of colours and sounds. With special guests Ieda Hills (Lino Chris, Thaíde and DJ Hum), Paola (Negra Li among others) on back vocals, Marks Moreira on acordion, Adolfo Strufaldi on bass, Ed do Trombone on brass and Marcel on the guitar, this is a sound that really synthesizes the Brazilian culture.
